Congratulations to Ellie, Anna, Rory, Oisin who made their First Holy Communion at Our Lady and St John the Baptist on Sunday. They were impeccable in their behaviour and outfits for the occasion, they made their Mums and Dads, Familys, Parish very proud. The girls wore beautiful traditional Polish white outfits and the boys were in suits.

The day started off with lovely dry weather and the Church was decorated everywhere  with beautiful communion tributes by Fiona, there was even bottle lights on the windows, we are really lucky to have her as part of Our Social Committee team.

Carmel came to the rescue and brought in some China from home for the cups of tea and cake as ours is misplaced at the moment. Lucky enough the flowers by Tina were still looking beautiful from Easter Sunday.

The Communion cake was made, donated and decorated by the talented Helen Loudon one of our Parishioners, thanks Helen we loved and really appreciated it. It was very yummy indeed!

Music and singing was performed by two young boys Angus and Findlay from our Sister Church at St Columba Bridge of Don. It made the occasion more special. Thank you kindly boys!!!

Fr Patrick said a beauriful Mass and the children took part in the ceremony throughout.  They were the first to receive their Communion and wine.

Finally Emillia one of the Parents presented Fr Patrick with flowers and a gift from the parents and children.

Thank you to everyone who helped orgainise and took part to make it a memorable day and joyous occasion!

God bless!
